Nine Organizations Awarded Grants in 2024 Spring Round

In 2024, New Hampshire Children’s Health Foundation shifted its responsive grant awards from project-based grants to general operating support. Awards are made based on the applicant’s commitment and ability to sustain or advance one of the Foundation’s responsive funding priorities and strategies.

The following organizations received grant awards, totaling $170,000, to support their work in these areas.

Priority: Healthy Eating

Strategy: Improve participation in federal nutrition programs for children and families

  • Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition — $10,000
  • New Hampshire Hunger Solutions — $20,000
  • Core Physicians* — $20,000
  • Waypoint — $20,000

Strategy: Increase availability of and access to affordable, culturally appropriate fresh and local foods for children and families at risk for food insecurity

  • Willing Hands — $20,000
  • Organization for Immigrant and Refugee Success (ORIS) — $20,000
  • Cornucopia — $20,000

Priority: Active Living

Strategy: Inform and implement local level policies, practices or plans that improve access to community-level physical activity for young children and families. This may include access to parks and other recreation areas as well as sidewalks, crosswalks and pathways.

  • Special Needs Support Upper Valley* — $20,000
  • Southern NH Planning Commission — $20,000
