Program to bring local fresh vegetables and meat to inner city food deserts awarded $30,000

The Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success (ORIS) has been awarded a $30,000 grant by the New Hampshire Children’s Health Foundation to bring access to affordable fresh local food, including culturally appropriate vegetables and fruit, as well as eggs, milk and meat, to low income communities across Concord, Manchester and Nashua through its Fresh Start Farms mobile farmers’ market.
